Wright Stuck Playing From Behind in 100th Career Start

| Kris Wright finished 31st in Saturday’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) race at Richmond Raceway after an up and down day that saw him make progress through the field late in the event. Wright started 30th after posting the 13th fastest time in practice. Wright finished Stage 1 in 34th, one lap down, as the F.N.B. Corporation / iHeartRadio Chevrolet Silverado RST worked through balance issues around the Richmond short track. Darren Fraley (crew chief) called for four tires, along with wedge, tire pressure, and trackbar adjustments during the stage break. Wright gained positions throughout Stage 2, moving as high as 30th before finishing the stage 31st, two laps down. The team noted improved lap times late in the stage before an equipment interference penalty sent Wright to the tail of the longest line for the start of Stage 3. Wright worked his way forward in the final stage, eventually receiving the wave around during a caution and restarting 29th with 34 laps remaining. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native crossed the line 31st.
