Out West … Tyler Ankrum, driver of the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet Silverado RST is bringing his cowboy boots out West to Fort Worth, TX for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) event at Texas Motor Speedway. The field has 167 laps to fight for the top spot in which the San Bernardino, Calif. native looks to secure. Coming off a tough 13th-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway, the young driver seeks to turn the bad luck of the No. 18 entry around and bring home a solid, clean top-five finish for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. The young driver currently sits in the 12th position in the NCTS driver point standings.

Texas Highlights … The 25-year-old driver is no stranger to the 1.5 mile quad-oval as this Friday night will mark his 10th NCTS career start at Texas. Clocking two top-five and five top-10 results within those nine starts, Ankrum solidified his best track finish at Texas back in the Fall of 2019 where he scored a podium result of third. Last season, the driver of the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet started on the front row and remained a constant factor in the mix for the entire event that brought him to a fourth-place finish. Ankrum is looking to excel on those stats and bring home his first victory of the season this Friday night under the lights in Texas.

Tyler Ankrum Quote:

“Texas is a fun one to run, honestly. We have had a lot of solid runs there and we have also had some bad luck there so I really am just looking to have a good run to get us back on track. These guys work so hard and it’s super tough to not get the finishes they deserve lately to show for it. We have a ton of folks coming out from LIUNA in the Mid-West region so looking forward to getting to those guys and show them a good time.”
