Wright Ready to take on the Monster Mile

Venue: Dover Motor Speedway

Event: ECOSAVE 200

Date: Friday, May 15th

Location: Dover, DE

Track Description: 1-mile concrete oval

Distance: 200 laps, 200 miles (5:00 p.m. ET, FS1, SiriusXM)

Making Friends with Miles… Kris Wright and the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team head to Dover, Del., for the ECOSAVE 200 at Dover Motor Speedway as the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) enters its ninth race of the 2026 season. McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) is searching for its first victory at the concrete oval after making two starts at the track in 2019 and 2020, when Derek Kraus earned top-10 finishes in both appearances. Wright will make his first Dover start in a NASCAR national series event but carries experience at the Monster Mile after recording a sixth-place finish in the 2024 ARCA Menards Series race. The organization also brings proven success at Dover, with teammates Daniel Hemric, Tyler Ankrum and Christian Eckes each posting top-10 finishes across NASCAR’s national series as the MHR stable looks to showcase its horsepower at the Monster Mile.

Qualifying Correlation… Wright looks to rebound from an unfortunate finish to a promising race at Watkins Glen International last Friday. After starting at the rear of the field, the driver charged to 13th before being collected in an incident in Turn One with nine laps remaining. While the 2026 season has presented its challenges, qualifying position has proven to be a key indicator of stronger results. Wright has qualified 21st or better three times this season, resulting in his three best finishes, all inside the top 20, with an average finish of 18.67 in those races. In events where he has started outside the top 21, Wright has yet to record a top-20 finish and owns an average finish 10 positions lower. The No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team will look to capitalize on qualifying at the Monster Mile, a track where passing opportunities are often limited.

Season to Date… Eight races into the 2026 NCTS season, the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team sits 21st in the championship standings. Wright has completed 93.9% of the laps this season and looks to build on that mark Friday at Dover. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native has recorded three top-20 finishes, including a 20th-place result at Rockingham Speedway, the closest comparison to Dover on the schedule to this point in the season. The No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team also battled through an eventful night at Bristol Motor Speedway, the series’ only other concrete track, to salvage a 25th-place finish. Wright and the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team continue working toward delivering a strong result at the Monster Mile this weekend.

Tune In… Coverage from Dover begins Friday with practice on FOX Sports 2 at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 1:40 p.m. ET. Live coverage of the ECOSAVE 200 will air on Fox Sports 1 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Stay connected with the No. 81 F.N.B. Kris Wright Quote:

“I’m excited to make my first NASCAR start at Dover this Friday. This track was a blast to race in my ARCA Menards Series start, and I’ve been looking forward to getting back there. We’ve been preparing for this one for a while since the series hasn’t raced at Dover since 2020, and I’m confident the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team can unload with speed and bring home a solid finish back in the F.N.B. Corporation colors.”
