FINISH: 10th
Start: 25th (Qualified 15th)
AMSW Point Standings Position: 2nd
Mason Massey and the No. 19 NAPA Auto Parts team secured a 10th place finish in Saturday’s rain-shortened NAPA Auto Parts 150 at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. Massey qualified 15th after encountering a brake issue in qualifying and started from the rear in 25th as the team addressed the issue before the race.

Massey worked his way through the field, reaching 13th by lap 20 before advancing to 11th under a lap 23 caution as rain began falling. He maintained his position through the lap 32 restart before taking evasive action to avoid an incident ahead on lap 33. More rain brought out a red flag on lap 43, ultimately ending the event after 42 laps and securing Massey’s top-10 finish. The Douglasville, Ga. native finishes second in the ARCA Menards Series West championship standings.

Mason Massey Quote:
“Obviously it was a really unfortunate night for this NAPA Auto Care team. We unloaded pretty good, but brake issues set in before we could really dial in the car. We got to work pre-race to fix the issue, but starting in the back was going to be a tough task with rain coming into the area. Super grateful for the hard work this year and thanks to everyone at Bill McAnally Racing, NAPA Auto Care, Mongoose Power Solutions, and Brunt Workwear, and everyone else involved in this program. This has been one of the most fun racing seasons I’ve had and I can’t thank everyone enough.”
