Run It Back … Tyler Ankrum, driver of the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet Silverado RST heads down to Rockingham, NC this weekend, looking to go back-to-back as the reigning winner of the inaugural Rockingham Speedway NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) event. The young driver was able to capture his second NCTS victory that broke his winless streak at The Rock as he saved fuel better than anyone in the field to cross finish line at the top of the board last season in 2025. This win led Ankrum to a career-best season and ultimately sent him on to make the Championship 4 and content for the big title in Phoenix. The driver of the No. 18 Chevrolet returns to the oval track in hopes to snag another victory for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing and his first of the 2026 season.

The Rock … Rockingham Speedway welcomes back the NCTS for their second event weekend as 2025 was the first time the field has run at the 0.94-mile oval. Before last year, The Rock had undergone a series of renovations in order to make their NASCAR return since they last hosted the NASCAR Cup Series in 2004. Crew chief Mark Hillman and the No. 18 team look to stay victorious at the historic D-shaped oval and come out on top this Friday afternoon at Rockingham Speedway.

Spoiler Highlights … Ankrum and the No. 18 team are excited to welcome aboard LIUNA local contractor Boyd Plumbing & Heating LLC to adorn the left-side spoiler of the No. 18 Chevrolet for the 200-lap event at Rockingham. For over two decades, Boyd Companies has been at the forefront of designing and installing intricate plumbing and mechanical systems. Tyler Ankrum Quote:
“It has been a tough couple of weeks for this No. 18 team and man, am I excited to get back to The Rock. We had such a fun run there last year and played our cards just right that it worked out pretty well for us to get that win. We were really fast there at the test earlier this year and we know exactly what we need to do to get back to victory lane this weekend for sure. Although it has not been the greatest of starts this year, I have upmost confidence in Mark (Hillman, crew chief) and the guys that we will turn this bad luck around and get right back into playoff contention starting this weekend in Rockingham.”
