Dye Looks to Lasso a Playoff Position in Texas

Once Again to Texas… Daniel Dye returns to the state of Texas for the second time in the 2024 season. By securing a track-best result of 13th position last weekend at Martinsville Speedway, Dye was able to move up to 13th position in the NSCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) points standings. This week he plans on moving up the rankings even further in his second NCTS appearances at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS).
Playoff Push… Dye has career-best finishes at four of the six tracks he’s visited this season. His most notable ninth-place result at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) gave him his first top-10 of the season. This year, Dye has earned stage points to help him in his pursuit of a playoff spot. With his fourth-place stage result at Daytona International Speedway and a ninth-place stage finish at AMS, Dye has picked up nine additional points thus far. TMS exhibits some similar features to AMS, which can work out in Dye’s favor since showing his ability at 1.5-mile tracks.
Season to Date … Through six of 16 regular season events, Dye has qualified in the top-10 in four races. He scored his first-career pole award in the second race of the year at AMS. With his average start of 12.2, he has the sixth best average start of all-full-time drivers in 2024. Dye currently sits in the 13th position for the NCTS points standings only being 25 points away from the provisional playoff cut line.

“This Champion Container team has shown a lot of speed this year. We have been qualifying well and that has been a huge help. Texas is similar to Atlanta where we got a pole, and I think we can do it again this weekend. We are on the verge of being in a playoff spot, I know it’s possible for us to be able to get there. If we put ourselves in a good starting position we can get forward and earn some stage points as well.”
