Stretch Run with New Crew … Daniel Hemric is on the stretch run of the regular season as he is set to make his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) start at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP). With three races to go in before the NCTS playoffs, the driver of the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet Silverado RST enters IRP with a new supporting cast with crew chief Kevin Bellicourt on top of the pit box for the remainder of the season. The duo will make their first start together on Friday evening in pursuit of Hemric’s second victory of the 2025 season.
Short Track Record … Hemric has extended MHR’s exemplary record on short tracks this season and hopes to continue that on Friday night. His first-career victory at Martinsville Speedway in April and a fourth-place finish at North Wilkesboro Speedway has given Hemric two top-five results in the three short track races thus far. MHR’s No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevy notched consecutive runner-up results at IRP in the last two races at the Circle City short track. Hemric has multiple starts at IRP in super late model competition and looks to parlay that track familiarity to a second victory on Friday evening.
Season to Date … After 15 of 18 regular season events prior to the playoffs, Hemric sits fourth in the NCTS drivers’ point standings. He has collected one victory, seven top-five’s, and 11 top-10 finishes thus far, and has the fourth-best average running position among full-time drivers at 10.35. His remarkable string of consistent finishes has netted him an average finish 8.5 through 15 of 23 races.
Tune In … Friday’s one-day show at IRP kicks off with practice and qualifying on FOX Sports 2 at 3:00 p.m. ET, followed by the green flag on FOX Sports 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Daniel Hemric Quote:
On returning to IRP:
“It’s been quite a few years since I’ve raced at IRP but looking forward to going back this week. It’s a fun place, really wide with lots of different options. It’s always looked like a challenge in the trucks and Xfinity cars to get rotated with the flat progressive banking but will be a good test for our NAPA Auto Care team. I’m really looking forward to getting to work with Kevin (Bellicourt) and these guys. Hopefully the changes we made over the break helps our team, but also MHR as a whole. We’d love to get another win and more playoff points under our belt before the playoffs start, and it’d be great to have another one of our teammates win their way in too.”
