First of Three Opportunities … Connor Mosack is picking the right time of year to get hot with three races remaining in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) regular season. The driver of the No. 81 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST enters his first NCTS appearance at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP) with three strong opportunities to reserve his spot in the playoffs if he’s able to capture his first-career victory. Mosack has gained five positions in the point standings to 15th in the last four races and has been a fixture near the front of the field since scoring points in both stages at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). IRP is one of two abrasive short tracks that pave Mosack’s path to the playoffs, along with a road course, as he hopes to break into victory lane in Indy.

Turning it Up … Mosack and crew chief Blake Bainbridge have turned up the wick in performance over the past three races. Mosack has two top-10 qualifying efforts at MIS and Lime Rock Park along with a sixth-place finish at Pocono Raceway on June 20th. The No. 81 team has developed into a mainstay near the front of the field over the last three races as Mosack has tallied points in the last six-consecutive stages. During that span, he has earned 34 stages points since MIS and is a primary factor in his recent ascent through the standings. Mosack has one prior start at IRP in the ARCA Menards Series in 2022 when he finished fifth.

Season to Date … Through 15 of 18 regular season races, Mosack is 15th in the points standings and trails the provisional playoff cut line by 103 markers. While still mathematically possible to point his way into the playoffs, Mosack will likely need a victory to earn a berth. He recently scored a season-best sixth place finish two races ago at Pocono and tallied his first-career pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway in February.

Tune In … FOX Sports 2’s coverage kicks off raceday at IRP at 3:00 p.m. ET with practice and qualifying followed by the green flag at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Daniel Hemric Quote:

On his first start at IRP in the NCTS:

“We’ve been generating a lot of momentum recently and all the effort that everyone has put in is showing up with speed on the racetrack. I felt like we’ve had top-five trucks the last handful of races and we’ve been putting ourselves near the front of the field. I think we can do that again this week with our NAPA Nightvision Chevy. IRP is a fun racetrack and there are plenty of options with a lot of different usable lanes. We know our best way to make the playoffs is to win, and I think our team is capable of that over the next three races. Hopefully we can have the speed and execution to give ourselves a chance on Friday night.”
