Luck of the Irish Hills … Connor Mosack is looking to upgrade his luck in the Irish Hills this weekend at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST has been plagued by an overabundance of sour racing luck and is motivated to climb up the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) standings this weekend at MIS. Mosack has experience at Michigan in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and ARCA Menards Series to apply to his first NCTS outing at the two-mile tri oval on Saturday afternoon.

Full Speed or Nothing … With six races remaining before the NCTS playoffs begin, Mosack and the No. 81 team led by crew chief Blake Bainbridge are likely facing a “must-win” scenario. Mosack and company will need to utilize the raw speed they’ve shown at various points through 12 races to contend for a trophy and join MHR teammates Daniel Hemric and Tyler Ankrum in the playoff field. While the NCTS field hasn’t competed at MIS in five years, Mosack has a NXS appearance under his belt at Michigan in 2023 along with two starts and a third-place result in the ARCA Menards Series. He will look to translate that experience to alter his season with a landmark effort on Saturday afternoon.

Season to Date … Through 12 of 18 regular season races, Mosack sits 20th in the NCTS standings with one pole award and a season-best ninth-place result at Rockingham Speedway. Mosack hopes to improve on his average finish of 21.3 and continue MHR’s trend of having at least one truck finish inside the top-10 in every race this season.

Tune In … Mosack gets his first look at MIS in the NCTS on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET for practice. Broadcast coverage begins with qualifying on FOX Sports 1 Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. ET followed by the green flag at Noon ET on FOX. Connor Mosack Quote:

On the stretch run to the playoffs:

“Michigan is a good opportunity for our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation team. We expect to unload with good speed and get our truck driving good for Saturday afternoon. Hopefully, all four teams will keep working well together and we can help each other out throughout the day in the draft and on restarts to stay up front. There’s a little bit of a drafting game to play at Michigan, but need a good handling Chevrolet Silverado RST, too. We want to show everyone what we’re capable of and put ourselves in position to contend for a win this weekend.”
