Close it Out … Connor Mosack seeks to close his rookie NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) season with a noteworthy night at Phoenix Raceway. The driver of the No. 81 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST is aiming to build off his run in the desert last season where he tallied an impressive eighth-place result. Mosack and crew chief Blake Bainbridge have delivered three top-15 efforts, including two top-10 results, in three of the last five races and seek to close out 2025 with an exclamation point.
Cause a Fright … Friday’s finale in Phoenix on Halloween features the championship climax, but Mosack hopes to cause a fright for the final four field. Last year’s book ender was a top-10 effort that placed the North Carolinian on the map within the NCTS garage. Mosack hopes to become the third NCTS driver in the last five years to upset the Championship 4 drivers by winning the title race at Phoenix and steal the show for his first-career NCTS triumph.
Season to Date … Mosack enters the final round of 2025 14th in the NCTS drivers’ point standings. He earned a season-best sixth-place result at Pocono Raceway in June and has totaled four top-10 results. Since the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, Mosack has gained 14 spots in the standings and captured his first-career NCTS pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Tune In … Coverage from the desert begins on Friday afternoon with pole qualifying on FOX Sports 2 at 3:30 p.m. ET. FOX Sports 1 has live coverage of the season finale beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. Connor Mosack Quote:
On closing the season at Phoenix:
“We’ve done a better job lately of closing races with good finishes, so hopefully we can continue that on Friday with our NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet. We’ve had some trials this year, but have shown a lot of speed too. I appreciate everyone on this No. 81 team, and everybody at MHR who has been a part of this season. I’ve felt like we have had speed at some point during nearly every weekend this year, so we want to go out to Phoenix and make a statement to close the year out.”
